Same ol' | nicoleal20's Blog

Yeah yeah. i bet you already know what I'm going to write. I feel blah. I feel a little depressed today. Same old song, different day. I wish I had something more positive to write. It might be one of those phases that come with taking prozac. I don't know. All I know is, I don't want to do anything and I am wondering what's the point.

I watched Valkyrie the other day. Tom Cruise... why did they give him that role? he was flat. One note. Boring. Put no personality into it whatsoever. In the end I was left wondering who was this Stauffenberg person really? Then I watched Gran Torino. Clint Eastwood was a grouchy old racist. I didn't like this character at first but he warmed up a little later in the film. The movie has the potential, like Valkyrie, to be good, but it seems to fall short. Then I watched Quantum of solace for the 5th time. I love that movie. I think Daniel Craig makes the perfect James Bond. No bones about it. he doesn't have time to woo women or use fancy gadgets. Not talking? Bang, your dead.

Watching the movies takes my mind off the sadness. Maybe tonight I will watch Yes, Man.

I havent seen ANY of the ones you mentioned. But I did see BOLT in 3D !!!. And I liked it !!!LOL !! Yep, this is what living with a nine year old does to your favorite hobbies. Valkyrie, I wouldnt watch it, for the sole and one sided reason that Tom Cruise is in it. I cant stand him. The Eastwood film , I might. And I am going to rent Quatum of Solace to see the perfect James Bond. I rented American Splendor last week. It was good, not great but good. I liked this actor better on Sideways. I have been feeling sort of flat after my trip. The energy I brought back home quickly evaporated. I went to see a DR today and he suggested I may have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and told me about a med I could take for it. He gave me some samples and I am going to look it up here on the internet and see what it is about. I guess I should do like you and watch more movies instead. I am constantly watching CNN when I am home and it is so depressing to see all that is happening out there and that I cant do anything about it. My heart goes out to all those who are suffering so much. Creating awareness about the horrors of war is all I can do at the moment. Hope you let me hear from you soon. And post more reviews about movies you have seen. Hugs, UC
